Restaurant zur Harmonie is known to have welcomed guests as far back as 1807. The traditional townhouse was fully renovated in line with Swiss Heritage Society specifications in 1987-88.
The wood panelling on the walls dates back to 1909 and was faithfully restored and returned to its former glory. A bar, lamps and a stained glass panel from turn-of-the-century Paris designed by Auguste Matisse (1922) round off the interior.
The restaurant has a unique atmosphere and lives in harmony with the diverse local clientèle that gives the place its character. It’s the perfect spot for an aperitif, a meal (with set lunch served for CHF 21) or simply a nice glass of wine.
Market-fresh cuisine is served in Art Nouveau surroundings throughout the day until 10.30 pm.
